Terms of Service

Last updated: July 9, 2026.

These terms cover what you can expect from janitor-ai.io and what we expect back. Continuing past the age gate counts as your acceptance. If any of what follows is a dealbreaker, the cleanest resolution is to close the tab — nothing on this site tries to keep you here.

What janitor-ai.io actually is

This site is an editorial project — reviews, guides, and comparisons of AI companion platforms, with Janitor AI as its principal subject. It isn't the Janitor AI service, isn't a subsidiary of it, and isn't connected to whoever operates the infrastructure at janitorai.com. We report on the platform, direct traffic to it, and occasionally disagree with how it operates. That's the entire scope.

Every CTA on this site labelled "Open Janitor AI" hands you off to the third-party platform. Once you land there, their rules apply — their terms, their privacy notice, their moderation, their pricing. Nothing on this page overrides theirs, and nothing on their side amends what's here.

Who can use this site

Access is restricted to adults. The threshold is 18 or the local age of majority, whichever runs higher in the jurisdiction you're browsing from. Confirming 18+ at the splash prompt on your first visit stands as a representation that you clear that threshold. The dedicated age verification page covers this in more detail.

Money we make from CTAs

Some outbound clicks earn this site a commission — specifically the ones headed to a partner platform (currently Janitor AI itself, plus a handful of alternatives named in the comparison sections). That commission is paid by the destination platform, not by you. What you pay at the destination is identical whether you arrived through janitor-ai.io or typed the URL yourself.

This is disclosed here, in the site footer, on the about page, and in more detail on the editorial policy. Editorial calls — which platforms get coverage, how they rank in comparisons, what any of them score — do not shift based on which ones happen to pay commissions.

The reviews and how to read them

Everything editorial on this site — reviews, methodology write-ups, comparisons, this page — is authored by the site editor. All of it follows the methodology for how testing gets done and the editorial policy for how independence and corrections work.

Editorial content on janitor-ai.io is reporting and opinion informed by hands-on testing. It isn't financial, medical, or legal advice. Platform behaviour in this space shifts faster than any single-editor site can chase in real time — the "Last reviewed" date at the bottom of any page tells you when its claims were last verified against reality. Anything that changed after that date isn't reflected yet.

Things we don't guarantee

The site is offered as-is. Editorial work happens in good faith and gets re-verified on a rolling cadence, but no article here comes with a warranty. Uninterrupted availability isn't promised. Error-free content isn't promised. Continued accuracy of any particular claim after the page loaded isn't promised. Product features and prices in AI companion tools move at a pace that beats any single-editor site — treat everything published here as accurate at the moment of last verification, not permanently.

Where liability stops

Within the limits allowed by applicable law, janitor-ai.io and its editor accept no responsibility for indirect, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the site — including anything that happens after you follow an outbound link to a third-party platform. What happens on the Janitor AI platform (or any other product covered on this site) sits under that platform's own terms and is answerable through its own operators, not through us.

Ownership of what's here

Everything published on janitor-ai.io — the writing, the illustrations, the site's design, the methodology framework — belongs to the site editor. Short excerpts may be quoted with attribution and a link back, in the usual editorial-fair-use pattern. Republication of full articles requires prior permission from the editor.

References to "Janitor AI" and other product names throughout the site refer to those third-party products for the purpose of editorial identification. No claim of ownership over those names is being asserted.

Applicable law

Dutch law governs these terms. Disagreements that don't get resolved directly with the editor go to the competent courts of the Netherlands.

Companion documents

These terms are read alongside the privacy policy for data handling and the § 2257 statement for content classification. The Janitor AI review is the editorial output these terms govern.

When these terms change

Substantive revisions to these terms appear on this page with a refreshed "Last updated" date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a revision counts as acceptance of the updated version. For changes affecting user rights meaningfully, the dateModified stamp updates too, so search indices pick up the revision.
